We can't decide whether the view is better from the patio or from the helicopter that took this shot of "Tranquility I." perched on a nicely remote cliff on Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. It has three master suites, air conditioning, stereo, cable TV and VCR. Each suite has its own bath with jacuzzi and steam room. The jacuzzi for the maser suite is out on a terrace over the surf. The villa is in Mahogany Run, where there is tennis and a championship 18-hole golf course. Check out the famous "Devil's Triangle"--three holes bordering the cliff's, arguably the world's most dramatic water trap. Margens Bay, a famous protected beach cove, is a short drive away. The staff can include an expert cook, maids, nanny, driver and laundress. If you want to dine out, there's Hotel 1829, one of the oldest establishments in the port of Charlotte Amalie (809-776-1829). Also recommended is the Cafe Normandie in Frenchtown (809-774-1622). For classically fine dining there's Fiddle Leaf in Saint Thomas (809-775-2810).
RATES: approx. $7,000 per week. May vary according to season.
